ROM bygges rundt det aktuelle forestillingsrommet, i dette tilfellet USF Visningsrommet. Hva kan dansere gjøre, se, forholde seg til og reagere på i dette rommet? Hvilke følelser vekker dette rommet i oss som utøvere og som mennesker? 

ROM er en improvisert forestilling, inspirert av danserne selv, av rommet og av publikum.

improLaBergen er et kollektiv av profesjonelle dansekunstnere ++ basert i Vestland Fylke. De jobber prosjektbasert opp mot forestillinger og visninger, og bruker improvisasjon som verktøy for kunstnerisk uttrykk. 

I anledning forestillingen til ImproLaBergen vil Roskva Yasmin Andersen og Lilian Marie Bjertnes holde workshops for elever på Langhaugen vgs. og Fyllingsdalen vgs. i forkant av og underveis i festivalen. Dette formidlingsprogrammet er et samarbeid mellom kompaniet, Bergen Dansesenter og BIT Teatergarasjen, med støtte fra SANS - senter for dansepraksis (tidligere Dans i skolen)

Dans - en fest! er støttet av Fond for utøvende kunstnere og Vestland fylkeskommune

Brita Grov (NO), artistic idea / dancer
Brita is the founder of Grov Productions. She graduated with a BA (hons) Dance Degree at Trinity Laban in London and MA in Performance Practices at Royal Holloway. She works as a freelance dance artist as a performer and choreographer and her work is often based on personal experiences. She is also cofounder of Kvinnereller Performing Arts Company.

 

Ewa Lorenc (PL), dancer
Ewa is a teacher, cultural animator and choreographer. She has adegree from the University of Łódź and has a master's degree inpedagogy in Education through art. Her Bachelor were at the musiccollege in Łódź. She also completed her education at the Facultyof Dance at SKiBA in Wrocław. Ewa worked from 2009-2011 as anactress for children in Poland.

 

Lilian Maria Bjertnes (NO), dancer
Lilian Maria Bjertnes has worked as a freelance dancer, educator, choreographer and producer in Mosambique, Senegal, New York, Amsterdam, Oslo and Bergen over a period of 40 years. She is the artistic director of DanzeArt. She produced and performed in her own work Uten Sinn 2016, Crossover - Cross Over 2017, Au Naturel 2018, Welcome to my world 2019.

 

Monica Reksten (NO), dancer
Monica is based in Bergen. She has worked on both large and small scale productions as a dancer, choreographer and teacher mainly in Nothern Europe and the UK. She creates her own work as well as in collaboration with others. She is also the co-founder of No®Way Home Performing Arts Company. Monica has a BA Hons in Comtemporary Dance studies from London Contemporary Dance School, UK.

 

Roskva Yasmin Andersen (NO), dancer
Roskva Yasmin is based in Bergen. She works in the field of contemporary dance where she creates her own work, and in collaborations with others, through landscapes of stage, film and site specific work. One of her first full scale productions, Underneath, premiered under Oktoberdans 2018. Educated from Spin Off in Oslo, Amsterdam School of the Arts & Bachelor in Performing Arts from University of Stavanger.
