Marcelo Evelin was born in Teresina, Brazil. He is a choreographer, researcher and performer, living and working between Amsterdam (The Netherlands) and Teresina (Brazil). Evelin is an independent creator with his Platform Demolition Incorporada, created in 1995, he teaches at the Mime School in Amsterdam, where he also guides students in their creative processes. He coordinates workshops and collaborative projects in various countries of Europe, America, Africa, Japan, South America and Brazil. He has been working also as a curator, having deployed in Teresina, Piaui, the Núcleo do Dirceu, a collective of artists and a platform for independent researchs and development of the Contemporary Performing Arts. He is currently touring “A invençao da Maldade” (2019), “Batucada” (2014) and “De repente fica todo preto de gente”(2012). In 2016 he created “the Who of Things” for Carte Blanche, the National Norwegian Company for Contemporary Dance.
Caroline Eckly was born in Paris. She is a dancer, working for the past twelve years for Carte Blanche. She started her dance carrier as a ballet dancer for the Ballet du Capitole de Toulouse, France. She worked as a free-lance dancer in France and Germany, then for the Nuernberg Staatstheater for six years before moving to Norway. She has collaborated with various choreographers in the past twenty-three years, most recently with Bouchra Ouizghen, Pieter Ampe, François Chaignaud, Lia Rodrigues. She questions the role of the interpreter today and is interested in deepening an idea of a choreographic work where a conversation between interpreter and choreographer can lead the investigation on physical qualities.
