Tactile tour: ontogenesis dreams: a sideways stretching of the sensory limbs

Choreographer Astrid Sweeney and visual artist Weixin Quek Chong are artists in residence during Oktoberdans, through the network Nordic Residency Exhange Program. Here they will further develop the work ontogenesis dreams. The project is inspired by the molting processes of insects, queer ecologies and Octavia E. Butler’s science fiction trilogy Xenogenesis. Together, they explore the body’s impermanence through its relationship with an ambiguous organic material, delving into gestures of molting, peeling, and transformation. They will invite the audience into the process during the festival.

Tactile Tour

In most cases tactile tours are events designed for people who are blind or who have low vision. This tactile tour and material session was not specifically designed for people who are blind or who have low vision. However, all are welcome to attend, and we will do our best to accommodate you.
