We’re celebrating the city’s theatre year 2024! Join us for the awards ceremony on January 12!

Together with Bergen Theatre Association and seven theatre venues, we highlight the best moments from 2024. You’ll enjoy a showcase of performances from productions staged across the city. From BIT’s program, Shelmith Øseth will present an excerpt from the performance Wakati. Additionally, the evening will feature everything from Pippi to Retro Cat, Silent Film to stand-up comedy.

This year’s host is Den Nationale Scene, which will delight us with a fantastic house orchestra. And, of course, there’s much excitement surrounding the evening’s award presentations!

The awards to be presented are:

The Pernille Award: Awarded by Bergen Theatre Association to a performing artist for an outstanding achievement or long-term artistic contribution.

Rampeløkten: Awarded by Bergen Theatre Association for the most exciting and innovative theatre project of the year or for active contributions to the theatre community.

BT’s Critics’ Award: Bergens Tidende’s expert jury selects the best performance of the year.

VSTLND Audience Award: From Christmas through January 9, you can vote for your favorite on the local TV station VSTLND (formerly TV Vest Vestland). Each theatre has nominated one candidate.
