Here is an overview on accessibility and facilities at Østre
Building access
Østre´s first floor has step-free access from street level. Østre´s second floor can be accessed by an internal staircase or step-free access by an internal elevator (110x110cm). The minimum dimensions of all door openings one needs to pass through to arrive at the event space (including the elevator doors) is 90cm wide. Assistance from staff is necessary to use the elevator, therefore we invite you to let us know in advance in case you would like to use it.
Toilets
Østre’s toilet facilities are open to all genders. Østre has adapted toilet facilities located on the first floor. The door-opening of this adapted toilet is 90 cm wide.
Public transport
The recommended nearest bus stops are ‘Olav Kyrres gate’, ‘Torget’, or ‘Festplassen’ approximately 300m away. The last Bybanen stop ‘Byparken’ is 300m away.
Parking / drop off bay
Østre does not have designated parking available. It is, however, possible for cars or taxis to drop-off persons within 100 m from Østre.
Assistive Listening Systems / Audio Induction Loop
There are no Assistive Listening Systems in use.
Service dogs
Service dogs are welcome at Østre. However, it should be considered that the sound levels at Østre might be harmful to a dog’s hearing.
Quiet zone
If desired, it is possible to find a quiet zone with reduced sensory stimulation. Staff will be able to assist you.
