My Body My Home is an extraordinary collaboration between DansiT, Danselaboratoriet, Danseteateret & 71BODIES / Daniel Mariblanca. With more than 25 people on stage this production emphasizes the feeling of belonging and the importance of being embraced by the group or community.

In My Body My Home, the minorities are the majority. The beauty is created through radical tenderness, being part of something bigger than oneself and the joy of trusting and feeling trusted – without explanation. A journey of collective empowerment through friendship, courage and love. This is their tender revolution.

Bio

Daniel Mariblanca, born in Barcelona, Spain and a graduate of L’Institut del Teatre moved to Bergen in 2016 to join Carte Blanche where he was a professional dancer for seven years. Currently, still based in Bergen he is now the Artistic Director of 71BODIES, a transgender inclusive dance and performance company. Danselaboratoriet consists of a group of people with both physical and learning disabilities and Danseteateret is formed with seniors over the age of 65. Both part of DansiT Trondheim.
