Unni Gjertsen
Unni Gjertsen (b. 1966, Norway) is a visual artist, filmmaker and writer based in Oslo. How we perceive geography and history is a recurring interest explored through her work. She often uses an ecological and feminist perspective in her practice.

Laura Gaiger
Laura Gaiger (b.1992, England) is a visual artist who lives and works in Bergen. She makes paintings and installations to explore narratives around landscapes and their roles in culture and politics.

Gard Frantzsen
Gard Frantzsen (b. 1976, Mo i Rana, Norway) is an artist based in Bergen. He has exhibited at venues such as Kristiansand Kunsthall, Podium (Oslo), and Galleri CC (Malmö). Frantzsen holds an MA in Fine Art from Bergen National Academy of the Arts. He has been a key contributor to project developments of Astrup Fearnley Museet in Oslo and KMD in Bergen, and has been involved in establishing the artist-run venues WIZARD (Oslo) and Joy Forum (Bergen). Currently, he is a co-founder and member of The Unfinished Institution at Laksevåg, Bergen.
Frantzsen’s artistic practice focuses on public spaces and what we own collectively as citizens, often materializing through staged processes or societal strategies. His work aims to offer new interpretations of spaces and situations, challenging conventional perspectives. Upcoming projects include exhibitions at After the Butcher, Berlin (2025), and K4, Oslo (2025).

Borghild R. Unneland
Borghild Rudjord Unneland (b. 1978, Oslo) was educated at the Bergen Academy of the Arts in the department of textiles in 1998-2003. She has had solo exhibitions at Galleri Soft in Oslo, Kristiansand Kunsthall and Trøndelag Center for Contemporary Art, among others. She has participated in several group exhibitions at home and abroad. Unneland has been purchased by the Bergen Art Museum and Bergen municipalities and created several public decorations. She also works with scenography, organizes workshops etc. She teaches art and has held several positions of trust and has been the initiator of several collaborations, including DUI in Bergen.
Borghild Rudjord Unneland works primarily with installations. She has a broad practice that differs both in materials and techniques. The relationship between the thought and the materially present is a core of her works. The contrast is often the starting point for her work. With the help of small and simple tools, she tries to make familiar situations more subtle. The works can be perceived as poems in physical form, where connections that arise can form associative connections – like stanzas in a poem.

Sveinung Rudjord Unneland
Sveinung Rudjord Unneland completed his education at the Bergen National Academy of the Arts and the Kunsthochschule Berlin-Weissense in 2007. Since graduating, he has lived and worked in Bergen and developed an multi disciplinary practice crossing from painting to scenography, to different collaborative projects. From 2012-2018 he was a teacher at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bergen, between 2018-2022 he combined this with the completion of an artistic doctorate. He has long experience from unions and art organisations such as UKS, BKFH, HKS, BEK, Bergen Assembly, Sørlandsutstillingen, Vestlandsutstillingen and Statens Arbeidsstipend. He is founder of the artist run space Joy Forum and founding member of the studio collective the unfinished institution. Unneland has presented his work in solo or group exhibitions at venues such as Kristiansand Kunsthall, Galleri 3,14, The Worth Ryder Art Gallery, Aldea, Hordaland Kunstsenter, Kunstnerforbundet, Joy Forum, Kode, Entree, LNM, Østfold Kunstnersenter, Agder Kunstnersenter among others.
He is currently preparing group shows at After the Butcher (Berlin) and Capc Musée d’art contemporain de Bordeaux (France), and a solo show at the National Association for Painters, Norway (LNM). In addition to this he us involved in several independent artistic collaboration and commissioned works.

Charlotte Besuijen
Charlotte Besuijen has a Bachelor in Fine Art from Akademie voor Beeldende Kunst en Vormgeving St Joost Breda (NL) and a Masters of Fine Arts from Kunst Musikk og Design in Bergen. In her practice Charlotte combines working with formal processes in the studio with different collaborations. These different processes constantly inspire each other. Collage is a returning motive in her work as well as photography, printmaking, sculpture and drawing.
In her work she wants to make the making process visible and reflect on it. For example by including photographs of her friends and found materials. She is interested in how the artwork is formed in contact with its environment.
In the past Charlotte has been a part of group shows at Willem II fabriek Den Bosch (NL), MOM ARTspace in Hamburg (DE) and Kristiansand Kunsthall, among other places. She made solo exhibitions at Caesuur Middelburg (NL), JOYforum Bergen (NO) and Trykkeriet in Bergen (NO). Charlotte has been a member of the unfinished institution since it started in 2022.
Charlotte Besuijen is the co-organiser of the BILBBOARD project, together with DUI.
