Here is an overview on accessibility and facilities at The University of Bergen Library – Arts and Humanities

Building access
The University of Bergen Library has step-free access from street level via the built-in concrete ramp. The minimum dimensions of all door openings one needs to pass through to arrive at the event space is 160cm wide. The exhibition is mainly on the first floor. However, some of the exhibition can be viewed closer up on the second floor mezzanine. During events, the performance can also be viewed from there. The second floor is accessible via the stairs or an elevator (100cm by 200cm).

Toilets
The University of Bergen Library has accessible toilet facilities on every floor.  However, one needs to ask a member of staff for an access card if you are a guest of the library (i.e. not UiB staff or student). The door-opening of these accessible toilets is 96cm wide. During events they will be open for use without an access card, but will have to be opened manually. Please ask for assistance if needed. The University of Bergen Library does not have all-gender toilet facilities beyond these accessible toilet facilities.

Public transport
The nearest public transport stops are ‘Lars Hilles gate’, ‘Olav Kyrres gate’,  ‘Festplassen’ or ‘Møhlenpris’ for bus or ‘Byparken’ for Bybanen. These stops are all approximately 500 meters away, except the bus stop ‘Møhlenpris’, which is 200 meters away. Please note that since The University of Bergen Library is located on top of Høyden, there is a steep incline in elevation to arrive at the library from these stops.

Parking / drop off bay
