BIT Teatergarasjen in 40 years – last chance
BIT Teatergarasjen is presenting an exhibition this fall celebrating 40 years of work in and for performing arts—in collaboration with the University Library in Bergen, at Nygårdshøyden.
The exhibition showcases parts of BIT’s history since 1984 through posters, programs, stage installations, video, and photography. It is based on archival material recently transferred to the University Library’s special collections. Several performances and events will take place within the exhibition throughout the semester.
The exhibition is open during the library’s opening hours and runs from September 22 to December 30, 2024.
Welcome!
Division Director Maria Carme Torras-Calvo welcomed attendees at the exhibition opening, and Rector Margareth Hagen officially opened the exhibition. We also heard a few words from the latest addition to Bergen’s Theatre Studies faculty: Associate Professor André Eiermann. From BIT Teatergarasjen, curator Ingrid Ellestad gave a brief presentation of the fall program, while our new leadership duo, Bettina Kogler and Tine Rude, shared their vision for the future.
