Naomi Velissariou
Naomi Velissariou (1984, Bilzen) is a theater maker and uses philosophical, scientific and personal ideas as the basis for performances with a rich visual language. Velissariou obtained a master's degree in theater and film studies at the University of Antwerp and completed her acting training at the Maastricht Theater Academy in 2012. In addition to her own work as a theater maker, Naomi also plays as an actress in theatre, film and television series. For example, she could be seen in The truth about Kate by Davy Pieters (2014), she made her film debut in Out of love (2015) by Paloma Aguilera Valdebenito, her television debut in Chausée d'amour (dePeople) and she played in Cobain, the new feature film by Nanouk Leopold, which premiered during the last edition of the Berlinale. In 2014 Naomi won the TAZ KBC young theater makers prize for her performance in A Tragedy (simplified) and in 2017 she received the Charlotte Köhler Prize, an incentive prize for young talent from the Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds. From 2012 to 2017 she worked at Frascati Productions. In those five years after graduating, she made seven performances: Mr Jones (2012),Kwartet: Een powerballad (2012 i.s.m. Joost Maaskant
Joost Maaskant (1984, Sneek), better known as Maask, is a beatboxer, voice artist, musician and sound producer. In his live performances he uses his own voice and an audio loop system where he produces different sounds, from jazz to dubstep and from drum 'n bass to ska. He is also a theatrical showman and performer. Over the past two years, Maask has played more than 400 shows at almost every Dutch festival and abroad, such as Germany, Belgium, Poland and Scotland. He is also a performer in various performances, including at De Koninklijke Schouwburg Brussels and the Arsenaal Mechelen. In February of this year he created Loophole as a performer with choreographer Charlotte Goesaert. And last year he designed the sound for the performance It's my mouth I can say what I want toby Theater Sonnevanck and Toneelgroep Oostpool. www.maask.nl
