The class is based on principles and methods related to the process of working with “How to. A score” by Mia Habib Productions shown at Studio USF April 21 & 22.
The workshop is free and open to dance and theater artists, and also others interested in work on movements. Students on dance, theater or performance may sign up at TicketCo.

The House of Spirits
We are going to dance under the influence of what is invisible, un-named, unshaped but extremely present. I will share some body practices I created as a training for my solo The Wake, aiming to recall the ancestry of theater as a device for communicating with ancestors. We will plant spirits that we consider relevant to be planted in our current times, hopefully to help us confront ecocide, cultural appropriation and gore capitalism.
The workshop will be physical for 2 hours so come in dance clothes.
