Bora Bora Residency Centre launches an open call for artistic ideas with a strong choreographic
base, to be researched and/or developed in the season of 2020-21 (August 2020 to June 2021).

The time has come to apply for residencies in our international call aimed at professional dancers, choreographers, dance companies or stage directors with a strong choreographic idea. Aside from the international residencies, Danish and/or Danish based artists can also apply for one of the international or Nordic exchange residencies in collaboration with the partners of Bora Bora Residency Centre, If you are Danish and/or Danish based, you can also apply for a co-production opportunity with Bora Bora, through this open call. You can apply for any and all opportunities with the same application.


Applying for residencies and other opportunities with Bora Bora Residency Centre is only possible through our application form in relation to our open calls.

Residencies can have some of the following aims:

- To begin the first research and development of an artistic idea

- Explore a whole new area of your artistic practice/work/process or your artistic profile.

Artists will receive the following, when chosen for a residency

- 2-3 weeks stage/studio time with one of our Danish co-hosts

- Travel and accommodation covered for up to 4 participating artists in a residency

- A Fee of approximately 870 Euro per week, per artist for up to 4 participating artists in a residency

Danish and/or Danish based Artists will receive the following, when chosen for a co-production

- Contribution to production costs, primarily artist fees, and a full collaboration with Bora Bora.

- Premiere and performances at Bora Bora

- Bora Bora will be bringing information and material to international network meetings, festivals and conferences etc.

All chosen artists will also receive

- Participation in our Bora Bora Community with an online artist profile, articles in newsletters and follow-ups on future residencies, co-productions and premiers.
